The Deputy 4.0 has been replaced by the Deputy 4.0 v2 - available here
The Deputy is our second most popular ip camera model. It is tied with the Warrior in terms of how easy it is to install and position, since neither camera requires you to remove any part of the camera to screw it into the wall/ceiling/soffit. The turret camera body style makes it ideal for outdoor use as you don't have a tendency to trap moisture in the lens, as is common with dome cameras, where you have to remove the outer glass dome to mount them. The 110 or 118 degree lens is best used to cover an entire room at once (by installing it in a corner) or to cover a wide area of a smaller yard, as wider lenses always decrease how far away you can identify a person of license plate. Although you can use this camera inside or out, the most common uses of the Deputy models (the camera comes in 2MP, 4MP, or 4K variants) are to install the camera in the corner of a room or to cover front doors and porches outdoors. Two Deputies are often installed back to back to make a 220-236 degree view, such as in the middle of a wall. (This two camera solution has less of that dizzying "fisheye" look that is common with 180 degree cameras and is also usually cheaper.)

VCA features do vary by camera model. This Deputy 4.0 supports these VCA features:

Corridor mode allows you to flip the image on its side so that you can change the 16x9 ratio to 9x16. This is advantageous in the case of hallways, side yards, or corridors (hence the name) where the extra space vertical space is needed and the extra horizontal space would only show you more wall or fence area. To use corridor mode, install the camera with the lens pointed 90 degrees from center and then enable the corridor mode on via our software.
ONVIF Conformant
This Deputy 4.0 is Compliant with ONVIF.
ONVIF is an open industry standard encoding language for the interface of IP-based physical security products.
Bitrate - 4MP
At 4MP and 25 FPS, while recording at H.265, this camera should use 3.5 Mbps of the NVR's bitrate budget. (With H.264, it should use 7Mbps).
