The Problem

Founded in 1999, AFG Distribution has grown into a “One Stop Alternative Distributor” carrying over 8,000 products.

To support its growth, AFG was building a new warehouse and distribution facility. After purchasing the property, the team was finalizing the building design with engineers. Technology Manager Chad Kletschka was tasked with finding a trusted security partner to deliver a modern system covering the interior and exterior of the new facility.

The Solution

Because Chad started looking at security so far in advance, SCW could design the access control and camera systems into the electrical and design plans for the new facility.

Electrified hardware could be included in the door schedule when doors were ordered, and SCW cast the exterior camera mounting boxes into the concrete walls.

The Result

The result was a complete, turnkey access control and surveillance system covering the entire 200,000 sq ft warehouse.

SCW provided consultative services throughout the project to keep Chad informed and help him make the best decisions for the business.

Working side by side with the general contractor, SCW designed and installed the system in tandem with construction, for a cleaner, more professional finish.

The system has already helped solve a crime. When a landscaping company’s leaf blower was stolen from the main parking lot, the footage was located and shared with Chad and the AFG team.
