Most dealerships do not have fences around their property, which means that an intruder may enter from any direction, but the odds are that the vehicle will enter or leave via the entrances, so this is the best place to start. Full parking lot coverage is shown in the "theft and vandalism" layer.
The camera setups for entrances use cameras facing towards and away from the entrance. This is preferred because not all states require license plates on both front and back of vehicles. Single cameras can be passable in states that require front plates.
False claims of customer vehicle damage are a persistent problem for service based dealerships (and mechanic shops).
Areas where customer vehicles enter service centers should have cameras that capture all sides of the vehicle, so that the condition of the vehicle's state before entering service is established. (Service Center entrance camera placement is shown in the hover image.)

Typically, we recommend including wider angle views at the entrances in case a stolen vehicle departs from the established entrances or if a pedestrian enters alongside, but not on, the established roadway.
