How Parkway Ford Protected Its Lots With 105 Cameras Across Three Dealerships
After an $80,000 Ford Expedition was stolen and the old cameras couldn’t show its color, Parkway Ford replaced its system. SCW provided 105 cameras across three dealerships to protect inventory, customers, and staff.

The Problem
A dealership lot is a high-traffic area where buyers, employees, and service customers converge. Constant vehicle movement leads to accidents, and some claims are legitimate while others try to take advantage of the dealership, a potential liability nightmare.
Parkway Ford’s aging security system couldn’t reliably show the color, make, or model of vehicles. The goal was to protect customers, employees, and inventory from minor accidents through to theft and vandalism.
We had an older cable system that didn’t allow us to make out what color a stolen vehicle was, barely what kind of vehicle. The deciding factor was when we had an $80,000.00 Ford Expedition stolen and we couldn’t tell if it was black, blue, red, or green. That one vehicle almost cost as much as the entire system.

Parkway Ford needed exterior cameras for inventory and customer parking, plus interior coverage for workspaces and showrooms. With body shops and repair facilities on site, workplace safety and customer liability were clear concerns. The rear of buildings, blocked from street view, also needed full coverage.
Across three sales locations, SCW provided a total of 105 cameras to monitor customers and staff during business hours and protect the vehicle fleet around the clock. Most cameras were mounted outdoors, trained on the lots.

The Result
The SCW system solved the problem of identifying vehicle inventory at all three locations, saving both time and money.
The right equipment, an experienced sales team, professional installation, and a system that simplifies managing employees and serving customers have left Parkway Ford sold on SCW.
More than losing a load of money on a stolen vehicle, there is also a great deal of lost time consumed when dealing with it. Not only does the new system help with that, we actually use it to help manage employees, making sure they are where they’re supposed to be. It’s served in several different ways: health issues; customer damage claims; employee vehicle damage claims. One damage claim, in which video evidence proved our innocence, saved us $10,000.00 alone. There are many uses that we didn’t initially anticipate.
