How Parker’s Kitchen Scaled Loss Prevention to More Than 70 Stores
Parker’s Kitchen was quoted around $25k per store by its previous camera provider. SCW’s scalable, DIY-friendly system let the team outfit new stores in-house and bring almost every location onto one platform.

01 · The Problem
The Problem
Parker’s Kitchen offers freshly prepared Southern-inspired food, quality products, and customer service at retail stores throughout coastal Georgia and South Carolina.
As one of the fastest-growing companies in America, its loss prevention challenges grew along with its store count. With its previous camera supplier, the main obstacle was upfront cost: around $25k per new store.
Kenneth Labadie, Head of Loss Prevention, wanted an alternative to a camera-only provider that would reduce the cost of outfitting new locations so the company could grow even faster.
SCW was chosen for its track record of delivering scalable solutions with no surprises in upfront costs. With multiple locations on one platform, Parker’s could speed up its expansion plans.
02 · The Solution
The Solution
With a focus on a cost-effective, scalable system, Parker’s started with camera equipment only, for a DIY install, testing the system in one store.
The solution was then rolled out across several new stores, with the number of cameras based on each store’s footprint. The average store has 32 cameras. Stores moved from Sheriff 4.0 to Sheriff 8.0 cameras when the 8.0 was released.
Where a store needed more specialized monitoring, cameras with microphones and greater zoom, such as the Informant and the Detective, were used.

Rollout
Streamlined buying from a single-source provider made purchasing simple. SCW staff specializes in security, specifically video surveillance.
03 · The Result
The Result
Parker’s Kitchen has onboarded more than 70 sites with SCW equipment, with almost all locations on a single platform using SCW’s enterprise-grade VMS.
With loss prevention one of the key issues holding back the company’s growth plans, an effective, scalable, value-focused solution was essential. SCW gave Parker’s reliable commercial-grade hardware, one source for surveillance equipment, and the scalability to keep growing.
Ease of installation has also been a big benefit. Parker’s plans to add 5 more sites each year over the next 5 years.
We actually recruited our new tech from our previous security company, and he’s basically taken over the installation. He loves it because he can do everything himself.
