As IT Director, Miles Pleghardt faced a significant challenge. KO Storage operated 50 facilities across the Midwest, each with different security equipment, many separate access applications, and no centralized way to manage user credentials.
The company was also about to expand rapidly, doubling its facilities and extending into 24 states. Miles had limited visibility into existing infrastructure at many sites, which made planning installation costs and resources even harder.
He needed a unified platform to streamline access for on-site teams and corporate management, and camera systems at every facility with adequate coverage to protect clients from damage and theft and protect the business from liability.
Miles reached out to SCW because he knew SCW could provide the single-source platform KO Storage needed.

SCW provided a unified platform that streamlined credential management and access. As a single-source supplier, SCW could provide every component for a complete IP camera system, including cables and wire crimping tools.
SCW worked closely with Miles and his team to gather information about each facility’s infrastructure and created customized system plans covering camera selection, placement, and unique requirements such as trenching or wireless backhauls. The collaboration also helped KO Storage build its own capacity for infrastructure assessments and system design, saving time and money.
SCW offered flexible implementation, providing resources to execute designs wherever KO Storage needed help.
