This expansion module can be added to expansion in slot 1 the SCW Shield panel.

It provides alarm reporting and interactive services to be offered over Verizon network as either primary or back-up communication paths.

Events are reported to both the monitoring receiver and the interactive server. All events use Contact ID reporting codes.

Events Reported by Default: Alarm, Alarm Cancel, Opening, Closing, System Low Battery, System Low Battery Restore, AC Power Fail, AC Power Restore.

If you order the Alarm Hub and the Verizon LTE card at the same time, we'll install it for you, before it ships. You shouldn't have to install this product under most circumstances, these instructions are only if you want to add one later or need to RMA the card.

How to Install the Verizon LTE card for SCW Shield Alarm Hub

Cellular LED Indicators are used to show the state of the expansion card. (Green and Flashing means that the expansion card is working correctly. Red means that it is registered with the local network)

Signal Strength can be determined using the signal bar LED's. (0 bars is Non-Functional, 1 is Marginally Functional, 2 is Acceptable, 3 is Good, 4 is Best)

How to Factory Reset the Verizon LTE Card

This is normally never required and should only be done if requested by SCW Tech support.

Step 1. Reset the expansion card by pressing the factory default switch (This switch is in the very middle of the expansion card) until the expansion card's LEDs flash once (roughly 5 seconds) and then let go.

Step 2. Now that the expansion card is reset, you can restore the expansion card to factory defaults by pressing the factory default switch, again, until the expansion card's LEDs flash twice (roughly 10 seconds).

Troubleshooting Bad Reception

Ensure antenna connectors are securely snapped into the circuit board<.p>

Try repositioning the panel (move or rotate)

Try moving the panel higher in the building

Try moving the panel away from metal objects (appliances, ducts)

Try moving the panel closer to a window
